Production Begins on C&C Redline 41!

(Warren, RI- January 22, 2014) C&C Yachts announced today that the first production hull of the much anticipated Mills designed Redline 41 is under construction. The boat is being built for an experienced British ocean racer who plans to compete in the 2014 Newport Bermuda Race. The C&C 41 is the newest member of Mark Mills’ family of famous race winning 40 footers such as Blondie, Tokoloshe, Mariner’s Cove, Soozal, and Downtime. The list of race wins covers the world with Ambush, Foxy Lady, and Karasu dominating competition in South East Asia and Japan. The C&C 41 will be a very strong performer in ORR/ORCi and IRC. Mills Design is working closely with US Sailing to provide an ORR certificate for the boat.

The new 41 is designed to be a fast, durable performer capable of taking on premier offshore events like Newport-Bermuda, Chicago-Mac, Fastnet, and the Hobart race. The swept spreader, non-overlapping jib and choice of conventional spinnaker or retractable sprit provide ease of handling with top notch performance. None of this is a surprise coming from Mills Design. What may surprise sailors are the custom interior choices that the craftsmen at C&C Yachts / USWatercraft provide. This flat out race boat has a touch of elegance with it’s beautiful teak interiors, the same builders who create the famed Alerion Yachts, build the new C&C Redline 41.

The C&C 41 is the fusion of creative design, modern composite technology, and New England craftsmanship. It is unique among today’s offerings in the 35-40 foot performance market.
