Prior to 2004, Pearson was a division of TPI Composites, LLC in Warren, RI. In 2004, the wind energy and Swimex divisions of TPI were sold, along with the TPI name, allowing investors to capture the value that was created. Those two businesses, which today are TPI Composites, LLC and Swimex, LLC continue to flourish. At the time of these transactions, the marine division, which was not sold, was organized under a newly formed company, Pearson Composites, LLC. Desde 2004, that marine business has transformed itself into what it is today, Pearson Marine Group. Pearson Marine Group has continued to carry-on the heritage that was created in TPI Composites-Creating markets and capturing competitive advantages through customer focus, innovation and continuous improvement.
